Planning and deadlines

Start dates and deadlines per segment

Each segment (a group of roleplays) in TrainTool has a start date. This start date indicates when the exercises from that segment are available to trainees in the program. Before the start date, they cannot be accessed.

This start date can be set in two ways:

•Relative: Week X, Day X

•Absolute: XX-XX-20XX

Relative dates do not indicate a fixed moment in the future, but a fixed moment relative to when the participant enrolls.

Example: Segment 1 opens in Week 2, Day 1. Trainee X enrolls on September 1, and Trainee Y on September 7. Segment 1 becomes available for Trainee X on September 8, and for Trainee Y on September 14.

Absolute dates appear when the program has a set start date. You can set this in the program’s settings. After setting a fixed start date, you will see a date next to each segment, which you can adjust to a specific point in the future (or the past). The moment of enrollment does no longer matter—the start date or deadline for the segment is the same for everyone.

Click on the date next to the segment and choose which start date (and deadline) you want to set.
